To keep from having posts from the stern up to the cabin top a hefty gusset was built.

from port quarter. Fiberglassing was not complete at this time because
of the weather. All surfaces were sealed with resin so as to not
soak up water.

Cutout
so there is not a head banger when going to or from the salon from main
cabin. The plan is to have a pocket door to close off the salon
from the main cabin. Yes, it will need to be secured when it is
open or closed so it will not move back and forth when the boat rolls.

Topside doghouse over the cutout. When the weather permits the edges will be ground round before fiberglassing.
