area cut out. Water tank will use the front bulkhead and
longitudinal bulkheads for walls and baffles. The back bulkhead
is to size the tank. |
| The limber holes through the main bulkheads are extended under the water tank. | |
 | Bulkheads set ready for fiberglassing. |
| Bulkheads
ae fiberglassed in. The tabs on the tops are to set the lid on.
Since the lids will likely be stood on these tabs will help
support it. Thru-hulls are used to move the water between tanks.
It is only one tank with the stringers used as baffles.
Finally, the tanks were cleaned up and sealed with resin with
surface agent (wax) in it to seal the resin from the air. This
allows the resin to set, without the surface agent the resin surface
would stay tacky and the water would taste like fiberglass. | |
 | Water tanks complete.
The ridges (tops of stringers) will have holes drilled in them and
some of the foam removed. Bolts to bolt a plywood pad for the
generator will be epoxied in. |
Water tank tops are painted. Most of the engine room will be painted.
